New white LED color rendering index tends to daylight

Professor Soo-Young Park of Seoul National University in South Korea and his team have successfully developed a white LED. Compared to current white LEDs, its color rendering index (CRI) is closer to daylight.

At the same time, many LED manufacturers have not stopped their efforts, they continue to invest in to improve luminous efficiency, extend the life and light quality expressed in CRI.

Like all new technologies, mass production is a very important step for the LED technology developed by Professor Park. Just as today's OLEDs are working to expand their applications, there is a need to address life and issues such as aging to drive large-scale applications.

LED lifetime is an important advantage today, driving LED lighting in areas where maintenance costs severely impact total cost of ownership (TCO), such as LDE streetlights and industrial fixtures. Using current state-of-the-art technology, municipalities can recoup their LED streetlight investment in three years or less. Low energy consumption and long maintenance intervals make this return on investment (ROI) possible.

The semiconductor industry is driving the lighting industry to a better and more efficient direction. An advanced power supply efficiency can reach about 90%. A 90% power factor is also possible.

The overall efficiency of the luminaire (ie, the light engine plus power) is becoming the focus of attention. The California Energy Agency's Order No. 24 is a good example of measuring the efficiency of output from the socket to the net light.

The application of LED lighting is also changing the lighting infrastructure. Lamps that previously switched between on and off can now be automatically dimmed; previously only white light fixtures now have other colors. The user begins to pay attention to the quality of the luminescence (ie CRI). These applications require more semiconductor devices to implement the above advanced features. As LEDs continue to increase their luminous output and CRI, semiconductor technology that controls and communicates with the luminaire will continue to evolve.

The result is that businesses and households not only achieve energy savings, but also achieve better lighting results.

The future of LED is bright. Not only does the LED make the luminaire more human (think of the color of the luminaire or room as a function of music or current mood). In addition, they will more efficiently illuminate your work and private spaces. What do you think of the future of LED?

1.0mm Ribbon Connector

1.0mm Ribbon Connector is commonly used in electronic devices to connect ribbon cables. It is a type of connector that has a pitch of 1.0mm, which means that the pins are spaced 1.0mm apart. This connector is designed to be used with ribbon cables that have a similar pitch.

The 1.0mm Ribbon Connector is typically used in applications where a high-density connection is required. It is commonly used in computer systems, printers, and other electronic devices that require a high-speed data transfer.
