shock! ! ! See if your LED lights are grounded?

1. Under what circumstances is the LED lamp grounded?

According to the latest standards and requirements of GB7000.1/IEC60598D: The external leakage conductive part of Class I luminaires should be grounded. This is determined by the additional safety measures required for such luminaires. If it is not grounded, there is no effective guarantee and it cannot be assigned to Class I luminaires. ;

Class II luminaires do not need to be grounded because their additional safety measures are not grounded but by the double or reinforced insulation of the luminaire itself to ensure its safety; Class III luminaires are not allowed to be grounded because it is safe extra low voltage (SELV) The low voltage should be isolated from the high voltage using an isolation transformer and should not be grounded;

Second, how to ground the LED lamps:

The power supply itself has a bottom line as shown in the following figure:

1

As shown in the above figure: the power input ground wire (yellow-green line) itself is designed to be conductive to the outer casing (the parts shown in Figure 2 and Figure 3). In the luminaire assembly process, the power supply casing itself is screwed or fixed. (Re-linking the power supply casing and the lamp housing separately) directly connects the power supply casing to the metal shell of the lamp. If the lamp meets the Class I lamp, it means that the casing metal is connected to the ground wire to ground.

As shown in the above figure: This kind of connection grounding wire itself has no grounding function in the design, only the grounding end shown in Figure 5 is added at the input end, and then the end of the lamp is connected to the lamp housing during the assembly process. Position, from the principle of the connection line, if the power supply generates leakage, its role is limited. (This project only describes the power supply that is not in compliance with the safety requirements. For details, please refer to GB7000.1 or some test standards in CCC certification.) .

Third, the harm of LED lamps without grounding

In the actual operation of Class I luminaires, if there is no grounding wire, false grounding or poor grounding, it may cause hidden leakage of products (not complying with safety regulations GB7000.1), similar inductive electricity and static electricity generated by lamps, etc. Effective release and other defects.

For example, if the direct or indirect touch of the human body causes electric shock when the power supply leaks, the phenomenon of inductive electricity, static electricity, etc. caused by the external environmental factors may cause damage to the LED light source inside the lamp or a safety hazard similar to electric shock, so as a type I lamp Grounding is an indispensable safety program. As a series of Outdoor lighting products such as LED street lights, LED flood lights , LED outdoor landscapes, etc., it is necessary to meet the above requirements.
