Let's review the main configuration parameters of the iPhone 8 Plus:

In terms of appearance, the glass back shell design of the iPhone 8 series is still very eye-catching. The front and rear double glass design is also a continuation of the classic iPhone 4 and 4s series, although the overall shape uses the iPhone 6 Plus body design, the biggest change brought by the glass back shell It is to support wireless charging. In addition, the various inspection marks and machine models on the fuselage after the glass design are now gone, but the model number A1864 can be found on the package.

Before disassembling, look at the internal structure with X-rays. The wireless charging coil is very conspicuous.

When disassembling the screen, iFixit found that the position of the screw was slightly different, deeper than before, and the dent was slightly larger.

As with the iPhone 8, the screws that secure the battery connection cable use the common #000 Phillips screw. The tape that sticks the battery is the same as the iPhone 8 and two more than the 7th generation.

The battery has a capacity of 3.82 V, 2691 mAh and a power of 10.28 Wh. Although the capacity has shrunk compared to the 2900 mAh of the iPhone 7 Plus, it doesn't have to worry too much. Apple promises that the endurance performance is comparable to or better than the previous generation, not to mention the fast charge.

Separating the screen panel is as easy as the iPhone 8. When the battery was removed, iFixit only pulled down 3 tapes and found that the original battery tape was increased to 4 in order to fix one corner of the four corners of the battery so as not to stick to the middle charging coil.

The AR dual camera unit, like the iPhone 7 Plus, benefits from the two cameras that are fixed together to support portrait mode with software algorithms.

Look at the internal structure of the camera with X-ray, you can see the cable routing of the camera. After adjusting the exposure, you can also see that there are small magnets in the four corners of one of the cameras, which belong to the OIS optical anti-shake component.

After removing the logic board, you can remove the speaker parts and then remove the Taptic Engine vibration motor to see the details of the sound hole of the speaker.

The sound ring's sealing ring and the new Lightning interface module are similar to the iPhone 8's wireless charging coil and cable structure, and fit on the metal frame of the frame. iFixit believes that the structure is designed for wireless charging. The heat is quickly released.

After learning the lessons of disassembling the iPhone 8 glass backplane, iFixit decided to heat the glass cover, but...

It is conceivable that if the glass back plate is broken and repaired, it may be necessary to replace the entire back frame, so wear a protective case.

- The screen and battery are easy to repair and replace;

- Wireless charging will extend the life of the Lightning interface;

- Although Apple says that the backshell glass is durable, once it is damaged and broken, it is almost impossible to change the glass backboard alone.

- The bottom precision component bracket and the intertwined complex cable are easy to remove, but it is very difficult to recover.
