On November 9, the China Automobile Association released the automobile production and sales data for October 2018. For the new energy vehicle segment, production and sales in October were 146,000 and 138,000 units, up 58.1% and 51% year-on-year, respectively.
The output of new energy vehicles in October was 126,000 new energy passenger vehicles, including 97,000 pure electric passenger vehicles and 29,000 plug-in hybrid passenger vehicles; new energy commercial vehicles The production volume of vehicles was 19,000, including 19,000 pure electric commercial vehicles and 0 plug-in hybrid commercial vehicles.
Analyzing the sales of new energy vehicles in October, the sales volume of new energy passenger vehicles was 120,000, including 94,000 pure electric passenger vehicles and 27,000 plug-in hybrid passenger vehicles; new energy commercial vehicles The sales volume was 18,000 units, including 18,000 pure electric commercial vehicles and 0 plug-in hybrid electric commercial vehicles.
From January to October, the cumulative production and sales of new energy vehicles were 879,000 and 860,000, an increase of 70% and 75.6% year-on-year respectively. Among them, the production and sales of pure electric vehicles were 670,000 and 653,000, up 56.9% and 62.3% year-on-year, respectively; the production and sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles were 209,000 and 207,000, respectively. Compared with the same period of last year, it increased by 132% and 136.4% respectively.
Chen Shihua, assistant secretary general of the China Automobile Association, said that in 2018, the annual production and sales target of 1 million new energy vehicles will be successfully achieved.
