Grado/Alessandro is also a well-known earphone factory. I think there should be a lot of love users, so open this article for Grado/Alessandro fans to discuss and share!
For players with contact headphones, it should be no stranger to Grado. I have been a user of Grado since I touched the earmuffs... Since the PS-1000 is my current active headset, I will share some PS- with you. 1000 with a rough experience. Any suitable amp is also welcome to share!
Brief description:
Grado's earphones are low-impedance headphones, which are not easy to make a bad noise. The lively and radiant voice is the biggest feature of Grado! There is no need for great thrust in the collocation, and the general amp or even the source can make the Grado sound good. But at the front end, Grado can take it one step further.
The PS-1000 is the flagship earphone of Grado's active service. It has a rich and full tone, and its dynamic performance is excellent, and it has a sound field that is different from the previous earmuffs (except GS-1000). This feature makes the PS-1000 more versatile in listening to all types of music.
The PS-1000 is heavier and can be comfortably enhanced with a beyerdynamic headband. Next, I will share my experience with Grado headphones and amps. First upload the map of the first WA5LE amp, and then share it with you.
Woo Audio WA5LE, the light rectifier will be 2 5U4G, (300B & 6SN7) × 2
Power separation design, 4 sets of inputs, giants... 6 tubes.
Listen to the following three tracks, "William Tell's Overture", "The Four Seasons of the Ming Dynasty, the First Movement of Autumn", Hugh Masekela "Hope".
WA5LE maintains the characteristics of Woo Audio's consistently relaxed and tolerant. Who said that Grado is not durable? PS-1000 set up WA5LE to listen to a song, time lapse and not conscious...
In the performance of "William Tell's Overture", it can be said that it can be capable of Wenwu. The front part is not sloppy in the performance of small and dynamic. When the latter stage is dynamic, the low frequency is loose and stable, and the depth of sound field is good. Good, just like being in the middle of the concert hall. The WA5LE allows the PS-1000 to display a powerful and comfortable sound. Although WA5LE is loose, the analysis is still standard.
"Four seasons - autumn - the first movement" interpretation of the violin, the details of the rubbing string is still clear. Whether it is the performance of the violin or the ensemble behind it, it is full and powerful, but it adds a softness and nature to a pipe machine.
I believe that many of the fans are very familiar with "Hope", and the drums at the beginning have come to the fore. The loose tone of the WA5LE refines the sharp drum sound, while the low frequency is strong but not scratching. Hugh Masekela's hoarse voice is still well-defined, and the sound is not uncomfortable.
The WA5LE drive PS-1000 has a very suitable matching effect, and the sound is loosely controlled. It is a very resistant machine. And use 300B/5U4G/6SN7 three kinds of vacuum tubes - these vacuum tubes are also replaced by many well-known classical tubes, and the potential is extremely strong and playable. There will be a version of WA5LE (upgrade) to share with you.
PS-1000 headphone specifications: dynamic open type; frequency response -5~50000Hz; sound sensitivity - 98dB/mW; impedance - 32ohm; earmuff material - aluminum shell turning coated wood; weight - 2.5 pounds (about 1.13 kg)
The Grado RS1 was originally the wooden box version of Vintage S. The most obvious difference is the headband (I haven't seen it in Taiwan yet, I don't know how it sounds), then the RS1 wooden box version + green sponge, then again RS1 old paper tray + green sponge, then come over is the RS1 tuning version that many people have seen (the print under the earphone is Grado).
The next version of this is the RS1 untuned version, with the RS1 patch version (RS-1 printed under the earpiece). As far as I know, the patch version is because some users feel that there is no tuning version. The RS1 sound is not as good as it used to be, so there are a few products that appear again. However, looking at foreign materials does not seem to mention the patch version, maybe they think the two are the same (?) and then down is the RS1I that is now on sale.
The sounds between the versions will vary, but the basic sound is still the same style - the same passionate sound. Overall, the spectrum is balanced and the details are rich. The instrumental music is accurate, the intermediate frequency is mellow, and the middle and high is slightly brighter yellow. It sounds very comfortable and has excellent performance in essays and vocals. Listening to the guitar is only a cool word to describe, although its instrumental music is relatively narrow, so it will be insufficient in more complex movements, but it will not be concealed, as long as it is not a symphonic style, it will have a very good performance. In the ear selection, personal experience, with a warm and well-controlled amp that makes the layer better, will be a great choice, such as Melos SHA-1 Woo Audio WA6 and Rudistor. Would be a good choice.

After dinner, chances - Grado PS500Sound? Selling the first, I will explain in the next article. But everyone should be able to guess the clue from the model?
Originally located in the United States, Grado/Alessandro is more inclined to the high-end headphones market, and the full range of headphones has been well received for decades, and has been highly praised and affirmed by many audio magazines and forums. The characteristic is that the proportion of hand-made is extremely high. For the sake of quality, GRADO does not expand the production scale like other earphone manufacturers, so the production output is relatively small and more precious than other earphone manufacturers.
The Alessandro brand was commissioned by Alessandro to make GRADO and adjusted to Alessandro's requirements for sound orientation, but not for GRADO. Alessandro feels that there are many GRADO earphones, and it is not easy to choose. In particular, select the corresponding model in each different earphone to make M1, M2 and MPro, M1 corresponds to SR60~SR225, M2 corresponds to SR325, and MPro corresponds to RS-1.
Grado (Alessandro) headphones are coated with a vented diaphragm in a large volume of resonant cavity to reduce distortion and enhance low frequency. The unit is made of a lightweight polymer with low distortion and complete frequency response.
Tone: The GRADO SR series sounds towards a sweet scent. Listening to vocals, small compilations, and fashions all have excellent performance, and the low-frequency volume feels good. The Alessandro Music series of headphones are more neutral, more detailed and richer.
Recommended music types: Classical, Vocal, Pop, Hip Pop, and rhythmic music. The high-end RS-1 and M-Pro are perfect for listening to classical and vocal sounds.
