Songjianghe Power Plant The Xiaoshan Power Plant was put into production in 1997, and there are outdoor switch stations. Many of the equipment are subjected to the weather and there are potential safety hazards. In particular, the 220 kV SF6 circuit breakers are prone to latch-up accidents at extremely low temperatures. To this end, the plant actively took measures to install heating devices inside the SF6 circuit breaker. However, once the heating device or the related power supply circuit fails, the operating personnel lack the means of monitoring, and there are safety hazards. In order to eliminate potential safety hazards caused by temperature changes, the plant technicians decided to install an intelligent temperature monitoring system for circuit breakers. Professionals of the maintenance department took cold temperatures of minus 30 degrees and installed additional components in the circuit breaker box. A set of platinum resistance thermometers send temperature signals to six digital temperature testers in the central control room. Operators can monitor the internal temperature changes of the circuit breaker operating mechanism at any time through digital signal display to ensure safe and stable operation of the equipment in cold winter temperatures.
At present, temperature monitoring device equipment is stable and achieves the desired results.
