In 2013, Goldwind Technology’s wind turbine exports performed well, with the total amount in the country; the export volume also accounted for 11% of the company's total business volume, and the accumulated overseas delivery orders exceeded 770MW. However, the road after going out of the country is not smooth. How to let customers better understand the wind turbines, how to build the necessary trust, and even open up a larger market, have become the most troublesome problem for domestic wind power companies. They did not want to believe that even the domestic certification passed by the wind turbines was seen by them. They did not believe either. As a result, domestic wind turbine companies have opened up overseas markets to apply for high internationally recognized certifications. The “pass” of international certification has also become a tool for them to expand their territories.

On April 8th, Goldwind announced that its latest R&D achievements GW121/2500 series low wind speed unit won the IEC-B level design certification issued by DNV GL, becoming the first domestic wind turbine manufacturing company that obtained this certification at DNV GL.

Wang Bingfang, Certification Department Manager of Goldwind R&D Center stated: “This certification is based on the latest IEC series standards. This is a common standard for product design and implementation by major international wind turbine suppliers. This certification indicates that the entire R&D team of Goldwind Technology International The understanding and practical application of the new standards has reached the international level. It also means that the design of the GW121/2500 series low-speed wind turbines are in line with international standards. This will facilitate the promotion of Goldwind Technology's deep expansion into overseas markets, access to bank financing permits, and Through the owner's risk assessment to meet the diversified product demands of domestic and foreign customers."

It can be seen that with the increasing influence of China's wind turbine companies on the international market, it has become inevitable that in terms of innovative products and standards, better integration with the international community has become a necessity.

Leveraging international certification, Goldwind is committed to its goal of opening up overseas markets. "In the next 3-5 years, international sales revenue must strive to account for more than 30% of Goldwind's total revenue. This goal has not changed." Wu Kai, executive vice president of Goldwind Technology, told reporters.

Wu Kai said that in the past, China’s wind turbine companies “going to the sea” mostly needed the financial support of the National Development Bank. In the process of accelerating internationalization, it would be easier to obtain foreign banks if they could obtain certification from a trusted third party organization. Loan.

Previously, different models of Goldwind Direct Drive Permanent Magnet Unit passed many certifications successively: domestic ones with design and type certification; international ones, German TuV Nord design certification, German Lloyd's Register (GL) zero voltage Traverse tests, safety assessment and testing of Australian Sinclair Knight Merz, and Intertek North American ETL safety certification.
