The X-Games (X-Games) will be held at the New Bank of America Stadium in downtown Minneapolis from July 13th to 16th, US local time. More than 200 outstanding athletes from around the world will compete for the award in the three extreme sports of BMX, Skateboard and Moto X.
ESPN, a US cable network that specializes in broadcasting sports programs, has recently announced cooperation with Samsung. Samsung Gear VR users from 48 countries can watch live broadcasts of three extreme events through Samsung's VR application. This includes U-plate games ( Skateboard Vert), BMX Street and Skateboard Street Amateurs.
Three feature extreme events will be shot with a 360 degree camera. ESPN and Samsung will also cooperate with Digital Domain, a VR production company, to create a complete and multi-angle live broadcast experience for the audience. Here are the VR viewing schedules for the three extreme events:
Skateboard Tournament: Thursday, July 13 6:45 pm ET
Street Climber: Friday, July 14 at 6:00 pm ET
Skateboarding Amateur Show: Saturday, July 15 6:00 pm ET
