The CEO of Zhuhai Yinlong India brought a representative to Punjab, India, and met with Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh. In a statement on July 3, the Office of the Chief Minister mentioned that “Zhuhai Yinlong plans to launch a pilot project to operate electric vehicles and buses in Amritsar, followed by Jalandhar and The city of Ludhiana is unfolding and plans to build an electric vehicle manufacturing plant here."
To promote such new energy vehicles, Li told Amarinder Singh that the company plans to launch several pilot models to familiarize local users with these products during commuting (working). Li also proposed a viable business model proposal, and plans to build an electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Punjab in the future.
Amarinder Singh said that he will help Zhuhai Yinlong to build a factory in the local area. The Congressional government will also formulate policies to encourage the use of energy-saving and environmentally friendly electric cars. He also recommended local partners to Zhuhai Yinlong to boost its electric commercial vehicles and passenger cars.
Singh said that Indian industry giants such as Mahindras, Tata and Ambanis have contacted the Punjab government to invest in the project.
