It is reported that this move can directly drive consumption of more than 1 billion yuan.
It is understood that this work was started in April 2008. At that time, the Ministry of Finance and the Development and Reform Commission selected 13 high-efficiency lighting products manufacturers through open tendering, and launched the first batch of 50 million high-efficiency lighting products promotion projects in the country. The central government subsidizes residential users at 50% of the winning bid price and subsidizes large users by 30%.
As of the end of January 2009, the winning bidders, with the strong support of local and relevant departments, promoted a total of 62 million energy-saving lamps, exceeding the promotion task. This work has achieved many results. First, it promoted energy conservation and emission reduction. Promote 62 million energy-saving lamps, saving 3.2 billion kWh per year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 3.2 million tons and sulfur dioxide by 32,000 tons. The second is to expand consumer demand. The central government passed a subsidy of about 280 million yuan, directly stimulating social consumption of 650 million yuan. Third, users get benefits.
