Recently, LED epitaxial wafer Huashang Optoelectronics (6289) will invest 30 million US dollars in Wujiang Investment to set up a new LED epitaxial plant, named Huashang Optoelectronics (Jiangsu), 100% of shares in Huashang.
Huashang Optoelectronics introduced that the company will receive a MOCVD subsidy of 10 million yuan in Wujiang. The new company will introduce 30 MOCVD machines in 2010, 10 of which will start production at the end of 2010. The plant will also introduce 150 MOCVD machines within 5 years and will receive a subsidy of 1.5 billion yuan.
In order to expand its Blu-ray capacity, the company has established Changzhi Gaoke Huashang Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. in Changzhi City, Shanxi Province. Now the plant has been built. It is expected that 15 MOCVD machines will be introduced before the end of 2010, and 15 more will be entered in 2011.
