A few days ago, the opening ceremony of the water intake project of the Shangkunqu Hydropower Station in Vietnam was held in the project site of Gongbo County in Shangkunqu Province, marking that the project officially entered the main construction phase.
The Thuong Kon Kum hydropower station in Vietnam is located on the Dak Nghe River in Kon Plong, Kon Tum Province, Vietnam. It is located on the upper reaches of the cascade development power station in the Sesan River Valley, about 70 km from the city of KON TUM. It is a long water diversion power station with a maximum water head of 944m, a underground powerhouse, and an impact generator with an installed capacity of 2×110MW and an average annual power generation of approximately 1.094×109 kW.h. The project is mainly a 17km tunnel, of which about 13km is designed using TBM.
It is understood that the project was jointly constructed by the China Railway 18th Bureau Group International Corporation and the Hydropower East China Survey and Design Institute. It is the first time that China Railway Eighteenth Group Corporation adopts TBM construction in overseas projects, and it is also the first overseas TBM construction project of China Railway Construction System.
