Many units have hundreds of street lamps, the total power is up to 5KW, and the mains voltage is as high as 240~250V due to the proximity to the substation. The excessive voltage causes the street light bulb to be burned frequently. It is commonplace. Moreover, the manual control of the street light is scattered and inconvenient to operate. Therefore, the author designed and installed an automatic voltage-controlled street light system.
First, the design function
In order to reduce the amount of labor manually operated by the hydropower administrator, the author designed a light-controlled street light device to automatically turn on the street light at night, and automatically turn off the street light when dawn comes. The nighttime lightning will not cause the street light to suddenly extinguish. This function is implemented using a 555 time-integrated block as the core optical control circuit. In order to reduce the shortened service life of the street lamp caused by the high voltage of the mains, waste money and manpower, the author designed a stable voltage device to have the voltage regulation performance that does not fluctuate with the power supply voltage. When the power supply voltage is between 230 and 250 volts. When the range is changed, the output voltage change value of the voltage regulator does not exceed 0.5% of the set output voltage. In order to save electricity and improve the service life of the street lamp, the output voltage of the voltage regulator must be adjusted within the range of 150 to 220 volts. This function is realized by an AC voltage regulator circuit with a single-junction trigger thyristor with negative feedback. In order to facilitate the manual control of the street lamp power supply during the test and maintenance of the street lamp, the author adds a manual control switch to control the contactor of the light control device, so that the contactor can be manually controlled or automatically controlled.
