TE Connectivity ( TE ) has introduced the MAG-MA TE connector with Multispring pins. This new connector simplifies the production process by directly connecting the enameled wire to the PCB (printed circuit board) without soldering, reflecting TE's ongoing product development philosophy of reducing costs, increasing productivity and improving product quality.

John Sandwell, global enamelled wire product manager at TE's Home Appliances business unit, said: "This solder-free product opens a new chapter in the process of connecting enameled wires to PCBs . Our products optimize workflows and make the assembly process faster. Safer, but also reduces the possibility of human error."

The connector simplifies the assembly process and improves product quality through a combination of two breakthrough technologies. TE formula Multispring crimp pin without welding, to avoid the thermal damage to the PCB board member has been installed. The MAG-MATE IDC (Puncture Connection) slot automatically strips up to two enameled wires of the same size, simplifying the production process and eliminating the need for pre-stripping and soldering steps.
